We will be presenting evidence to the court in the coming months to establish the extent of damages to be awarded to the victims and their families so grievously affected by this terrible act. Of the many cases stemming from the 9/11 attacks, this was the first case to gather independent evidence of the Iranian connection and establish those facts in a court of law.

Recognizing the threat to the soils and groundwater of Utah, the legislature enacted the PST Fund as a mechanism to provide money for underground storage tank owners and operators to clean up petroleum contamination. Because over $35,000,000 was paid to ineligible recipients, it was unavailable to others. Winder & Counsel is currently working to correct these environmental wrongs and get this money into the hands of the Department of Environmental Quality and its proper recipients.

The existing cab companies contend the City’s actions violate the state and federal constitutions, as well as various ordinances and state statutes. The Third District Court in Salt Lake City granted the cab companies’ motion for a temporary restraining order against the City, preventing the City from allowing new out-of-state taxicab companies to operate under concession contracts. The case remains pending.
